Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)

Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)—often referred to as maritime surface drones—are vessels that operate on the water's surface without an onboard crew. They are either remotely controlled (teleoperated) or act fully autonomously utilizing integrated algorithms. Within the domain of maritime security and surveillance, USVs serve as cost-effective, high-endurance sensor platforms. Equipped with compact sensor suites (such as C-ESM for radio direction finding, lightweight radar systems, and electro-optical cameras), they patrol coastal or open waters to gather intelligence and transmit it via SATCOM or terrestrial datalinks back to command stations in real-time.
