Together with Xer Technologies and Quadsat, PLATH Systems & Integration has reached an important technological milestone
PLATH Systems & Integration, in collaboration with Xer Technologies and Quadsat, has reached an important technological milestone: The first test flight of the SIGFLY VTOL ELINT was successfully completed. This marks a decisive step forward in the proof of concept for a UAV-based electronic intelligence solution.
Successful Integration of the Flight Platform and Sensors
The test flight focused on the interaction between the unmanned aerial platform and the integrated reconnaissance sensors. The functionality of key system components was successfully demonstrated under real-world flight conditions.
Xer Technologies successfully integrated the sensor systems into the UAV platform. During the flight, particular attention was paid to testing the drone’s control system, data connectivity, the detection of electromagnetic signals, and the interaction between the sensor systems and the flight control system.
The successful test flight laid an important foundation for the further development of the SIGFLY VTOL ELINT.
UAV-Based ELINT Capabilities for Modern Operational Scenarios
In an increasingly complex electromagnetic environment, the rapid and flexible acquisition of relevant signals is becoming ever more important. UAV-based ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) systems offer the ability to provide reconnaissance capabilities on the move and as needed.
By combining a high-performance VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) platform with passive RF sensors, electromagnetic emissions can be detected from the air and made available for further analysis.
The SIGFLY VTOL ELINT brings together the expertise of three technology partners: Xer Technologies provides the unmanned aerial platform, Quadsat contributes passive RF sensor technology through its SpectraLoc system, and PLATH Systems & Integration is responsible for developing and integrating the mission-specific reconnaissance solution.
The shared goal is to create a flexible, high-performance solution that can be deployed as needed to meet modern electronic reconnaissance requirements.
Next Step: Joint Performance Tests with Users
With this move, PLATH is taking an important step toward modular, cross-platform, and mission-oriented solutions for the electronic reconnaissance of the future.
Following the successful maiden flight, the focus is now on further testing of the complete solution.
In joint performance tests with users, the system’s capabilities will be further examined, evaluated, and optimized under real-world conditions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the performance of the sensor technology, the interaction of the system components, and the further development of software integration.
The successful maiden flight demonstrates how innovative reconnaissance capabilities can be achieved through the combination of specialized technologies and close partnership-based collaboration.
For PLATH Systems & Integration, this milestone represents another important step toward modular, cross-platform, and mission-oriented solutions for the electronic reconnaissance of the future.
