Obtronics / Obtronic components

Obtronics refers to electronic sensor systems based on optical principles – i.e. light, infrared or laser – to make environments visible, detect targets or measure distances. Typical obtronics components include cameras, thermal imaging devices, laser rangefinders, night vision systems and multispectral sensors. They support reconnaissance, target acquisition and situational awareness, especially in low light conditions or at long distances.

Political study trip: Air Force NCO School visits PLATH At the end of last week, we were delighted to welcome a group from the Air Force NCO School in Hamburg to PLATH. The visit took place as part of a political study trip organised by the Hermann Ehlers Academy, which regularly runs programmes for members of the German Armed Forces.
