Federal Network Agencies (also National Regulatory Authorities)

Federal Network Agencies (also National Regulatory Authorities) are state institutions of the executive branch legally tasked with the surveillance, regulation, and allocation of frequencies within the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS). Within the domain of radio frequency monitoring, they operate as civil regulatory bodies. Their primary responsibilities include the assignment of frequency bands (e.g., for cellular networks, aviation, or SATCOM), the interception and localization of illicit transmitters or interference sources (jamming), and ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). As end-users, they require highly precise, metrologically accurate graphical user interfaces to legally document and penalize frequency violations.
