Direction Finding & Monitoring Vehicles (also Mobile Spectrum Monitoring Units) are specially equipped mobile ground platforms (e.g., vans or all-terrain vehicles) designed for the mobile interception, metrological analysis, and precise localization of signals within the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS). Equipped with retractable or roof-mounted DF antennas, measurement receivers, and analysis computers, they are deployed by civil regulatory bodies like Federal Network Agencies to resolve radio interference or track illicit transmitters, as well as by security and border protection agencies for tactical on-scene surveillance. The onboard user-friendly GUI must process sensor data in real-time and fuse the calculated lines of bearing (LoB) directly with the vehicle's local position onto a navigation map.
