Communication Intelligence - COMINT
COMINT (Communications Intelligence) is a sub-area of SIGINT and refers to the interception and analysis of communication signals between individuals or organisations – such as radio, telephone, satellite or internet data.
The aim is to use this communication content and patterns to gain information about the intentions, structures and activities of actors. Both the content and metadata (e.g. frequency, sender, recipient) are evaluated to enable tactical and strategic insights.
