Frequency Bands

Frequency Bands are clearly defined, contiguous sub-ranges of a continuous wave spectrum bounded by a lower and an upper frequency limit. They serve as standardized organizational units to group oscillations (e.g., electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves, or optical signals) according to their physical properties and allocate them to specific applications or usage rights. A user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) utilizes frequency bands as a primary navigational and filtering element to divide complex spectral and measurement data into manageable, logical sections, making them controllable for the operator.
