In today's fast-paced intelligence environment, the ability to efficiently transcribe radio communications is critical. PLATH's advanced Speech-to-Text extension, specifically tailored to meet the challenges of radio intelligence and reconnaissance, utilises state-of-the-art AI technology to convert spoken language into text, even in challenging, e.g. noisy, conditions.
This new application is included as an optional feature in the PLATH Intelligence Control & Analysis Software (ICAS). It can also be integrated into any other software, e.g. to transcribe satellite communications. In this case, an integrator version for 3rd party software can be requested.

The Intelligence Control & Analysis Software (ICAS) is a manufacturer-independent, comprehensive platform for radio reconnaissance and intelligence operations. It covers the entire reconnaissance cycle, from sensor control and analysis to data handling and domain-specific data storage. Thanks to its manufacturer-independent interface design, ICAS even integrates devices from different manufacturers. This enables seamless intelligence gathering and supports precise decisions in complex environments. Thanks to its scalable and open system architecture, it can be customised to different use cases.
One of the most important functions of ICAS and the AI Speech-to-Text application is Voice Activity Detection, which makes it possible to recognise speech in radio traffic. The AI is based on Whisper and has been enhanced by PLATH to recognise low-quality audio signals, which is crucial for intelligence operations. More than 60 languages are included to support COMINT operators who often work in an unpredictable environment. Near real-time processing enables instant transcription for rapid decision making on critical communications.
The AI application supports formats such as *.wav, *.mp3, *.m4a, *.wma and many more as well as more than 60 languages such as Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Persian, Korean and many more. The application is designed to work completely on-premise and does not require an internet connection to ensure maximum security and control over your data.
AI Speech-to-Text is available in two versions. An ICAS edition, which is an extension of the working position within the globally proven ICAS radio intelligence platform. And an Integrator Edition, which is a headless software application for integration into existing software solutions.
