PLATH's Systems & Integration business division opened its new branch in Gilching near Munich on Wednesday. PLATH Solutions GmbH was founded for this purpose. It is part of the Systems & Integration business division and expands its presence in southern Germany. The grand opening was held under the motto ‘Innovation connects North and South’ and symbolises the close connection between the traditional Hamburg headquarters and the innovative technology location in the greater Munich area.
Strategic move into an innovation-driven region
As part of the PLATH group of companies, with over 70 years of industry experience in data-based early crisis detection, PLATH Solutions GmbH assumes the role of a neutral system integrator. The company is responsible for integrated complete solutions in the land, water and air domains and supports customers throughout the entire life cycle of systems – from conception and integration to long-term support.
The Gilching location offers strategic advantages: the high density of defence technology companies in the greater Munich area, proximity to public sector clients and new approaches to cooperation in the areas of digitalisation and software-defined defence create a dynamic environment for innovation and partnerships.

PLATH Solutions GmbH sees itself as a manufacturer-independent solution provider outside the traditional COMINT business and is specifically building up expertise in related domains. The focus is on integrated complete solutions in the reconnaissance domain, multi-layered information gathering from UxV, the Internet and technical sensor systems. In addition, the development of software and digitalisation expertise and close partnerships with SMEs and international system suppliers are also important for the work of the independent system integrator. The aim is to support public clients such as the British Armed Forces, authorities and security organisations as a general contractor with holistic, scalable and future-proof solutions.
