PLATH prevails in MoGeFa-Competition

In December 2009 PLATH has signed the contract as main contractor for projecting the System MoGeFa for mobile protected communication intelligence. Subject of the contract is the equipment of three units with an option for the serial production of the System MoGeFa.

With MoGeFa the German Armed Force obtains a state-of-the-art instrument for mobile communication intelligence, particularly in areas of conflict. With help of MoGeFa it is possible to obtain the entire signal situation awareness in relevant frequency ranges. MoGeFa is designed in function and structure as modular and scalable equipment set, which allows the user to make mission-based modifications, including changing the task of each unit in the mission-scenario (Master/Slave). According to the contract with the German Armed Force respective protected vehicles are provided as platform.

The sensor technology of this system is characterized by an outstanding sensibility, dynamic, bandwidth and scan-speed. The task is the detection and localization of all electromagnetic signals within the relevant frequency-range. The applied direction finding sensors are characterized by high reliability and accuracy.

The quality of this sensor system and its therewith associated high data traffic, as well as the requirement of quick results, demand a comprehensive and automatic support of the operator. Concerning this, the PLATH - solution considers also the use of state-of-the-art applications which are partly already established at the German Armed Force in modules for analysis-, evaluation- and communication intelligence support.
