Narrowband Location Systems (NALOS)
The Narrowband Location System NALOS is an automated COMINT system for locating standard and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) signals in the HF domain.
In contrast to conventional COMINT systems, it derives its results by employing a spectral data analysis of the intercepted signals. In combination with interactive analysis tools, NALOS provides a clear and comprehensive situational awareness, especially in a complex and dense signal scenario.
NALOS is a modular and scalable strategic COMINT system and offers the possibility to integrate a large number of DF stations, monitoring stations and operator positions.
The use of spectral data for bearing and locating offers explicit advantages compared to conventional direction finding and locating systems.
