The need for a complete picture in times of hybrid warfare

The 7th Intelligence Workshop by PLATH traditionally opened the EW Europe 2016 on the 10th of May in Rotterdam. Since 2010 the event has been a unique forum for intelligence experts, offering excellent networking opportunities and exclusive insights into COMINT and EW. With about 200 delegates from 30 countries the Intelligence Workshop continues to expand the intelligence community and contributes to a professional and confidential exchange at international level.

Based on extensive market knowledge PLATH has analysed the current intelligence challenges and trends to provide a high-quality programme for the full-day event. The 7th Intelligence Workshop was opened by CDR Stefano Calvetti from the Italian Navy, who summed up the current security situation: „In times of irregular combatants and hybrid warfare, there is a huge need for a complete picture if you want to find the bad guy.“ Following this customer´s demand, it was the industry´s turn to give answers and introduce new concepts how to differentiate between friend and foe within the enormous amount of communication data.

The exhibition was traditionally opened following the Intelligence Workshop. At the booth PLATH Group presented how to process millions of data in parallel, to fuse information from different sensors and to analyse communication behaviour and networks. Tailored to individual needs, these innovative and proven intelligence solutions provide the required clear picture of the situation and enable the commander to take the right decision as fast as possible – to protect and prevent.

The EW Europe 2017 will take place from 6th to 8th of June 2017 in London. PLATH Group is looking forward to welcome the international intelligence community to the 8th Intelligence Workshop to present once again the latest trends.
